Brewington Family ~ Lee's Summit
I love when the client picks a new location I've not been to that also has such great memories and meaning to them. When Mendy suggested the location she got married many years ago for her Fall session and I looked it up online I was even more excited! Because it is still a working ranch there were homeonwers there but happy to let us take pictures. The family dog was happy we were there to visit as well ;) We had a little visitor for most of the session!
Fowles Family
I picked a beautiful park in Kansas for the Fowles family that I had shot at just a week before and really wanted to go back. Clearly we had picked a hot spot that many others had been to because the leaves were pretty crushed into the ground by the time we arrived. Luckily we were still able to scoop enough into the shot to get our "fall" feel for the pictures. And later down the trail found a ton of big leaves (and sticks) the kiddos enjoyed playing with.
Nielson Couple/Matenity ~ Lee's Summit
I had to tease Kimmy just a little during her shoot ~ she's having a baby next month and she wore black so I don't think she looks very pregnant at all in these pictures :) Her goal was more of a "couples" session anyway before little baby arrives, but I still love hands on the little baby bump shots too. The wind really picked up during our session so we had a few challenges this morning. But still a beautiful fall day overall.

Swearingen Family ~ Lee's Summit
I was excited to share some time with Cheryl and her family last weekend at the lake. We had not seen each other in many years since my old "mom's club" days when Lauren was just a toddler. Time goes by so fast, her kiddos have gotten so big, and her family was so candid during the session it made the giggles and laughs easy to capture.
Newborn Session ~ Snow Family
Little baby Brett traveled all the way from Columbia, MO for his newborn session. He was not exactly thrilled to jump into photos right at first, but a few snuggles and some food and he was good to go. He's 4 weeks old in this picture and I just love all the cute little expressions he gave me throughout the morning.

Engle Family ~ Overland Park, KS
What a beautiful and WARM weekend for Fall photos! Sure makes it hard to know how to dress for such an occasion. I fell in love with this park in Overland Park, KS when I drove by last week and thankfully the Engle family was happy to meet me there for a Saturday morning session. Fall leaves make for lots of fun for the kiddos too!
Baby Cy - Newborn session - 7 days old
Baby Cy arrived on October 1st and I was happy to get on the road to meet him and photograph our session at his home 7 days later. I haven't had many opportunities to do that lately and it worked out perfect! He was awake and asleep during the session so we were lucky enough to get some images with his beautiful little eyes as well as the precious sleeping shots too. Thanks so much Scott and Dana for inviting me into your home to visit with your newest addition to the family!

Wuennenberg Family
I absolutely LOVE when a client sends me ideas of what they have in mind. Miss Melissa is more than just a client, she has become a very sweet friend of mine too. She sent me a family session idea she wanted to do for HER family. I scouted out a location I had in mind, and a couple days later we were headed down a very dirty gravel road at sunset and off we went. I was SO happy with the results. The evening glow of the beautiful sun setting on the tall wheat grass was just perfect. Not to mention she has the cutest darn family in town :)
